The Children’s Book looks like a fantastic book that is currently available.

A.S. Byatt is a wonderful author and one of my favorites. Her stories are rich and I find it hard to put them down. Her newest book, The Children’s Book, looks like another wonderful read. I found a great interview with Byatt with an excerpt from the book. If you don’t know Byatt, this is a great way to expand your library.

Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favorite writers.

When I recently heard Sigizmund Krzhizhanovsky compared to my beloved Poe, I had great reservations. I decided to take the leap and read the Memories of the Future; which has recently been translated from the original Russian. I really enjoyed this book. It is dark and twisted, yet there was a great sense of humor to it all.
