Labor Day Kabobs!

Labor Day is only a few days away! If you’re planning a cookout to celebrate, here’s a quick Kabob recipe to try!!!
Sweet and Tangy Pork and Pineapple Kabobs
Enjoy this delicious kabob recipe this Labor Day weekend!
- MARINADE
- 1/2 cup olive or canola oil
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
PORK
- 1 pork tenderloin, about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds, cut into even 1 1/2-inch chunks
- 2 cups 1 1/2-inch pineapple
- 1 sweet red or yellow pepper, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks
- Wooden skewers (soaked in hot water)
Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade to itself. Place the pork chunks in a plastic bag or bowl and pour the remaining marinade over the pork. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Preheat the grill to medium-high.
Place the pork cubes on the skewers, alternating with the pineapple and pepper pieces. Grill, turning frequently, about 10 to 12 minutes or until cooked through. Baste with the reserved marinade during the last few minutes of grilling.

Days of Summer… What Have You Done?

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!!!
Have you fully taken advantage of all there is to do during the summer? If you haven’t, don’t worry– there’s still time! If you haven’t fulfilled the bigger things about summer, like the the big vacation to an island, or even Disney World, there are some things (the little things) that you can still accomplish during this time of year.
- Have a water balloon fight.
- Make fresh lemonade
- Have a cook-out!
- Fly kites!
- Make homemade ice cream.
- Watch the sun set.
- Take a stroll along the beach.
- Relax by the pool!
There’s still time to take advantage of these opportunities. It’s the “little things” that have the ability to put a smile on our faces. With that said, what are some things you would like to do around Augusta or at St. Andrews Apartments before we say “Goodbye” to summer?

Did you know that St. Andrews Augusta Apartments has a 24-hour fitness center??? Isn’t that convenient? No more will you have to rush home to get to the gym before closing time; instead, you can go whenever you please!
On top of that, did you know that you can make your payments online? Once again, you won’t have to rush to the office after work to hand us your payments… no more having to pick up money orders (unless you want). With a few clicks, the office will receive your payments in no time! This is a great option!
It can’t get any better than this!
St. Andrews Augusta is one of the best places around town to call ‘home.’ For more information, be sure to visit the front office for your tour today!!!!
